Florida Governor Ron DeSantis intends to continue in the Republican primary race despite former President Donald Trump’s decisive victory in the Iowa caucuses.
DeSantis’s campaign emphasized his resilience and determination, stating that he has “earned his ticket out of Iowa.”

The DeSantis campaign said, “They threw everything at Ron DeSantis. They couldn’t kill him. He is not only still standing, but he’s now earned his ticket out of Iowa.”
“This is going to be a long battle ahead, but that is what this campaign is built for. The stakes are too high for this nation and we will not back down,” they continued.
Additionally, the statement coincided with Vivek Ramaswamy dropping out of the race and endorsing Trump.
As of late evening, Trump led the Iowa caucuses with 51 percent support.
