Former President Trump reiterated his defense of presidential immunity, claiming that without it, retired presidents would face legal battles that would hinder their retirement.

He warned that without immunity, former presidents would be under siege by prosecutors, and that removing immunity would open the floodgates to prosecuting former presidents.

Trump also suggested that taking away his immunity would also impact President Biden’s immunity. (Trending: Joe Biden Caught In Another Major Lie About J6)

Trump wrote, “WITHOUT IMMUNITY, IT WOULD BE VERY HARD FOR A PRESIDENT TO ENJOY HIS OR HER ‘GOLDEN YEARS’ OF RETIREMENT.”

“THEY WOULD BE UNDER SIEGE BY RADICAL, OUT OF CONTROL PROSECUTORS, MUCH LIKE I AM, BUT WITHOUT THE RETIREMENT!!!” continued the former president.

“IF A PRESIDENT DOES NOT HAVE IMMUNITY, THE COURT WILL BE ‘OPENING THE FLOODGATES’ TO PROSECUTING FORMER PRESIDENTS. AN OPPOSING HOSTILE PARTY WILL BE DOING IT FOR ANY REASON, ALL OF THE TIME!” Trump insisted.

“IF THEY TAKE AWAY MY IMMUNITY, THEY TAKE AWAY CROOKED JOE BIDEN’S IMMUNITY. WITHOUT IMMUNITY, IT WOULD BE VERY HARD FOR A PRESIDENT TO PROPERLY FUNCTION!” wrote Trump.
