Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman is supporting four Harvard alumni in their bid to join the university’s board of overseers, aiming to bring change to the institution.

The candidates, endorsed by Ackman, are focused on addressing issues such as free speech, financial mismanagement, and antisemitism on campus.

Ackman has criticized Harvard’s leadership and its handling of his donations, expressing concerns about the school’s governance and performance. (Trending: GOP Rep. Mace Clashes Directly With Hunter Biden At Hearing)

Bill Ackman endorsed: Zoe Bedell, Logan Leslie, Julia Pollak, and Alec Williams.

The candidates will need to gather signatures to qualify for the election, and their potential role could impact the university’s direction and policies.

“Harvard needs to change. Bringing fresh young blood onto the board of overseers can help with that,” said Ackman.

Ackman said that he endorsed, “talented, accomplished and motivated people, and their candidacy will serve as a wakeup call for Harvard.”
