A Texas rancher criticized the Biden administration, calling the president and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas “traitors” for failing to secure the border.

He accused them of prioritizing votes over safety, citing the impact on property and the constant flow of migrants.

State attorneys general from the heartland are set to testify at the first impeachment hearing of Mayorkas, discussing the crisis’s effects on their states and legal challenges against administration policies. (Trending: Fox News Star Accused Of Major Scandal)

Wayne King said, “That he’s a traitor. He’s an absolute traitor. He lies under oath. He says that the border is secure. It’s not. He took an oath to protect us, and he’s not doing it. The whole administration is the same way. Even our president, the President of the United States, I call him a traitor too.”

Chairman Mark Green wrote in a statement, “Secretary Mayorkas’ unprecedented and intentional border crisis has impacted every city and state in our country.”

“The chaos and devastation at the border and in our communities are the result of Alejandro Mayorkas’ failure to fulfill his oath as secretary of Homeland Security. His primary responsibility is to secure the homeland—and he has failed,” he continued.

The House Homeland Security Committee will address the impeachment process following a year of investigations and reports.

Border numbers have reached a new record, with over 302,000 migrant encounters in December.
