Rep. Greg Pence, the brother of former Vice President Mike Pence, has announced his retirement at the end of this Congress after nearly five years in office.
His decision not to seek reelection makes him the 45th member of the House to exit or have left.
Pence, a former Marine Officer, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent Indiana’s 6th District and emphasized his team’s commitment to providing excellent constituent services for the remainder of his term. (Trending: First Moon Mission In 50 Years Blasts Off)
Rep. Greg Pence said, “As a former Marine Officer, I approached the job with purpose. After three terms, I’ve made the decision not to file for reelection.”
“For the remainder of my term this year, our team will continue to focus on delivering outstanding constituent services. To the voters in Indiana’s 6th District — it is a privilege and honor to represent you in our Nation’s capital,” he continued.
This announcement comes shortly after another Indiana representative, Larry Bucshon, also declared his retirement, bringing the total number of departing Indiana congressional members to four out of nine.
