A defendant who attacked a judge in a Las Vegas courtroom was sentenced to up to four years in prison for an unrelated baseball bat attack.
Deobra Delone Redden leaped over the bench and assaulted Judge Mary Kay Holthus after being unsuccessful in convincing her about his reformed behavior.

This time, Redden was wearing a spit hood, orange mitts and shackles.
Redden was finally sentenced on Monday to 19-48 months in prison for his original baseball bat assault charge.

Redden “supermanned over the judicial bench,” chief judge Jerry Wiese said.
Redden’s attorney declined to comment, and the court clerk was praised for swiftly intervening to protect the judge.
Redden’s history includes multiple violent offenses.
