A left-wing watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), was behind the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove former President Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 primary election ballot.
Despite advocating for transparency in political donations, CREW has received significant dark money contributions from influential Democratic donors.
The group’s connections to Democratic-allied entities and its history of targeting Republicans raise questions about its nonpartisan status. (Trending: Trump Announces Heartbreaking Melania-Related Health Update)
Mike Davis, a conservative lawyer, said, “CREW is a left-wing, billionaire-funded dark money organization pushing a political agenda masquerading as an independent, nonpartisan nonprofit group.”
“This is further evidence that efforts to remove Trump from the ballot are nothing more than partisan politics by Democrats and have no basis in the Constitution or law,” he continued.
CREW has been accused in the past of using dark money to fund activities and having ties to influential liberal organizations and donors.
“They are a bunch of partisan hacks who deserve to be called out for their lies,” added Davis.
