Rowling remains outspoken on social media, particularly regarding her views on gender identity, leading to viral posts and ongoing controversy.
Her public statements have garnered significant attention, with one post receiving over 20 million views.
Rowling previously wrote, “‘Cis’ is ideological language, signifying belief in the unfalsifiable concept of gender identity.”
“You have a perfect right to believe in unprovable essences that may or may not match the sexed body, but the rest of us have a right to disagree, and to refuse to adopt your jargon,” she continued.
Additionally, she has been vocal about her disagreements with trans activists and political figures supporting gender recognition reform.
“You as a cis woman have every right to disagree with me, cis man, and other cis women, along with trans men and trans women,” posted Rowling.
“Just type ‘repent, heretic,’” Rowling taunted. “Fewer characters and it’ll have exactly the same effect on me.”
