Magician David Copperfield was mentioned in newly released documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
The documents do not constitute a client list, but Epstein accuser Johanna Sjoberg mentioned meeting Copperfield at Epstein’s house and observing him do magic tricks.
Sjoberg also mentioned that Copperfield asked her about girls being paid to find other girls, but did not provide specifics. (Trending: Trump Announces Heartbreaking Melania-Related Health Update)
Sjoberg said, “Someone called me from the house and said that he would be there, and if I wanted to come have dinner, then I could meet him.”
“So when I arrived at the house, he wasn’t there yet, but I waited,” recalled Sjoberg.
“And so I thought she could be younger than college age, but I had to assume for my own sanity that she was a daughter of one of his friends,” she continued.
Sjoberg was asked, “Did you observe David Copperfield to be a friend of Jeffrey Epstein’s?”
“Yes,” she confirmed.
Sjoberg was then asked, “Did Copperfield ever discuss Jeffrey’s involvement with young girls with you?”
“He questioned me if I was aware that girls were getting paid to find other girls,” answered Sjoberg.
The documents were part of a defamation lawsuit filed by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre against Maxwell and include mentions of Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump.
U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska ordered the release of the materials.
