Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md., expressed anger and disappointment after a staffer was reportedly fired over a sex tape filmed in a Senate hearing room.
Cardin did not disclose the staffer’s name, calling it a “personnel issue,” and stated that he was not aware of any further disciplinary issues against the staffer.

“It’s a breach of trust,” he said.
The incident is under investigation by the Capitol Police.
The scandal emerged when a video was published showing two men engaging in sex in a Senate office building room.
The staffer allegedly worked for Sen. Cardin, whose office announced the aide’s dismissal but did not address the reports linking a member of his staff to the sex tape.
The time of the recording is unclear, and a thorough investigation is promised.
