Pro-Palestinian protesters who blocked the San Francisco Bay Bridge delayed the delivery of vital organs to transplant patients, as revealed during the first trial of those arrested.
The illegal protest, which took place during President Joe Biden’s visit for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, led to delays in organ transfers, potentially endangering patients awaiting transplants.
The protesters are facing misdemeanor charges, and the Arab Resource and Organizing Center (AROC) brought hundreds of demonstrators to the courthouse in support of the arrestees. (Trending: Obama Reveals His Fear For Joe Ahead Of 2024)

“Seventeen of the defendants appeared before a judge but did not enter pleas because they want time to consult with their attorneys, said attorney EmilyRose Johns, who represented them for the purpose of their first court appearance,” the San Fransisco Chronicle noted.
“The defendants are each facing five misdemeanors, Johns said, with dozens more protesters expected to be arraigned throughout the week.”
