University of California Berkeley disinvited Oakland City Council member Dan Kalb from giving a lecture on environmental issues due to objections from students over his pro-Israel statements.

Kalb had proposed an amendment condemning Hamas terrorism, which was rejected.

The disinvitation was prompted by students’ discovery of his social media posts, which they deemed as promoting “pro-Israeli propaganda.” (Trending: Ousted Democrat Who Filmed Explicit Tape Blames Homophobia)

The college administration condemned the disinvitation and is investigating to prevent such incidents in the future.

Additionally, Berkeley faces lawsuits for antisemitism, as some student groups bar pro-Israel speakers, leading to the exclusion of the majority of Jewish voices.
