Israeli government spokesperson Eylon Levy expressed Israel’s openness to a visit by singer Taylor Swift and other influential figures to witness the impact of the October 7 terror attack by Hamas.

Swift, known for her political influence, attended a Gaza charity fundraiser but has not addressed the terror attack.

“We welcome visits by all leaders and influential figures” Levy said. (Trending: Kid Rock Rages Against ‘Woke’ Target)

The influence of celebrities on political matters and their impact on younger Americans’ views on Israel have remained a strong factor in both Israel’s support and criticism.

Additionally, comedian Michael Rapaport’s has expressed his support for Israel, as he participated in an Israeli comedy show that satirizes anti-Israel activists and journalists.

Instead, Swift and Selena Gomez attended a Gaza fundraiser at comedian Ramy Youssef’s comedy club in Brooklyn.

The event was part of Youssef’s standup comedy tour with proceeds supporting the American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA) for humanitarian relief in Gaza.

The Jerusalem Post reported that ANERA aims to “mobilize resources for immediate emergency relief and for sustainable, long-term health, education, and economic development.” (Trending: Tucker Carlson Reveals ‘Secret’ Project He’s Been Working On For Months)

The outlet also reported that “ANERA’s reports and newsletters present a highly biased view of the conflict, ignoring any Palestinian responsibility for hardship and contributing to the demonization of Israel consistent with the 2001 Durban strategy.”

Some social media users criticized Swift for attending the fundraiser without addressing a recent conflict involving Hamas.

“Taylor Swift attending Ramy’s show is her supporting causes that aid victims of genocide,” one person wrote.

Another added, “Since October 7th, Taylor Swift has made ZERO mentions of the massacre that occurred in Israel at the hands of Hamas terrorists. Her own bodyguard, who is charged with protecting her life, went to Israel to serve in the IDF. Swift did, however, make the time to attend a Gaza fundraiser Friday evening with Selena Gomez. When will you attend a fundraiser for Israel?”

Others defended her, stating that she was simply attending a comedy show and that Youssef was the one supporting Gaza.

“Taylor going to see a comedy show is not her actively supporting Gaza. this is Ramy actively supporting Gaza,” one user wrote.

Another added, “Ramy Youssef donated proceeds to Gaza. Taylor Swift just went to a comedy show.”

Additionally, an unnamed security guard from Swift’s tour joined the Israel Defense Forces following the conflict.

“I didn’t have to come here, but I couldn’t stand by while families were slaughtered and burned alive in their homes,” the guard said.

“Don’t stand by and do nothing. Don’t be on the wrong side of history,” encouraged the security guard.
