Former Obama senior adviser David Axelrod expressed concern over a recent Wall Street Journal poll showing President Biden’s approval ratings at a record low, stating that it is concerning for his re-election campaign.
The poll indicated that former President Donald Trump leads Biden in hypothetical ballot scenarios, and Biden’s job approval hit a new low of 37%.
Respondents favored Trump on issues such as the economy, border security, and inflation, with Biden only leading on the issue of abortion. (Trending: Dr. Fauci Says the Unthinkable About Going To Church)
“Job approval down, ratings generally down, most of the comparatives with Trump not good,” Axelrod said.
“What I worry about, you guys, from a Biden standpoint, is these are the kinds of things you get when people are starting to rationalize their votes.”
“And they just put out another photo op with the ‘Bidenomics’ sign next to him…it’s just unbelievable to me,” he added.
The poll surveyed 1,500 registered voters between Nov. 29 and Dec. 4.
