Special Counsel Jack Smith plans to introduce expert witness evidence against former President Donald Trump in his trial related to the Capitol riot.
The evidence includes cell phone data from inside the White House, with three expert witnesses expected to testify about the movements of individuals toward the Capitol area during and after Trump’s speech at the Ellipse.

Expert 1: Reviewed location history data for Google accounts and devices associated with individuals who moved, on January 6, 2021, from an area at or near the Ellipse to an area encompassing the United States Capitol building.
Expert 2: Reviewed the collection and use of location history data of people going towards the U.S. Capitol after Trump’s speech at the Ellipse.
Expert 3: Reviewed phone and data from Trump’s phones on January 6.
