Joe Scarborough criticized Fox News’ live studio audience for cheering during Sean Hannity’s interview with Donald Trump, where Trump declared he’d act like a dictator on “day one” of a potential second term.
Scarborough expressed contempt for the audience’s response, calling it a “sickness” and describing it as indicative of a desire for authoritarianism and totalitarianism among a number of Americans.

“They want it because when he promised that he would be a dictator on day one, he got applause.”
“It’s very bad for America, and make no mistake of it, a large chunk of those people in that audience cheering when Donald Trump said, ‘I’ll be a dictator on day one,’ well, they want that.”
He labeled the idolatry of Trump among Republicans as a “personality cult” and expressed concern about its impact on America.
