“I have no excuse for why I am in front of you today,” he said in court. “I understand my actions were criminal and that I am fully responsible for my conduct.”

“Keller surrendered to authorities about a week after returning home to Colorado,” the report found.

Keller surrendered to authorities and had a successful swimming career, competing in multiple Olympics and winning several medals.

“Keller competed in the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympics. He won two gold medals and a silver in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay and two individual bronze medals in the 400 free,” the report added.

At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Keller swam alongside Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte.
