The Ford Foundation, a major private foundation, has provided substantial funding to activist organizations advocating for amnesty for illegal immigrants and opposing deportation.
The foundation, known for supporting leftist causes, has pledged to influence immigration policy and strengthen the immigrant justice field.

The Ford Foundation reportedly has been establish to “build power and influence immigration policy” as well as “strengthen and broaden the immigrant justice field” in order for U.S. immigrants to “live free of fear, regardless of documentation status.”
The National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers’ Guild, was gifted a $450,000 grant from the Ford Foundation this year. The funds were mean to “ensure that immigrants at risk of deportation receive as much protection as possible.”
The organization has labeled U.S. immigration laws “racist and immoral” and blasted Operation Lone Star, Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s border security program, “racist” and “xenophobic.”
The National Immigration Law Center was gifted a $100,000 grant from the Ford Foundation.
The National Immigration Law Center works to establish “a pathway to citizenship for millions of immigrants.”
The Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center, was gifted a $300,000 grant by the Ford Foundation to assist the organization in abolishing “the detention-and-deportation system through multi-faceted advocacy that leverages disability rights frameworks.”
These organizations and more, have received significant funding from the Ford Foundation to advance their efforts.
