Fox News host Sean Hannity discussed his amicable relationship with Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom, highlighting their friendly rapport and joint appearances despite their differing political views.

Hannity managed to arrange a debate between Newsom and Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis on Fox News, a rare occurrence involving high-profile figures from both parties.

The reports about their relationship have sparked mixed reactions on social media, and Newsom has been campaigning in red states to counter conservative perceptions of California. (Trending: Chilling Surveillance Program Under Biden Exposed)

“From the first time we met, we just hit it off, and there was a certain relationship that developed that was like, ‘Oh, come on, you don’t believe all that,’” recalled Hannity.

“It was always friendly and never contentious,” he continued.

“You can say anything to him. You can have fun with him,” added the Fox News host.

“I can’t give you a date or a specific memory,” reflected Hannity on the relationship.

“All I do remember is that on a personal level, he’s extraordinarily personable,” affirmed Hannity.

Adding, “Just like Governor DeSantis is.”

“We hit it off. We just kind of hit it off. I respect both people at a very high level. I really do,” said the news analyst.
