NATO reaffirms its long-term support for Ukraine and agrees that the nation will join the alliance after it has undergone reforms and the war is over.
The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg emphasized the need for “priority reforms” and “full interoperability” between Ukrainian forces and NATO forces.

Stoltenberg said, “Allies agree that Ukraine will become a member of NATO.”
“All Allies agree that in the midst of a war full membership is not possible,” said Stoltenberg to the press.
Adding, “But of course, we will continue to look into to address how we can move Ukraine and NATO even closer together”.

Despite this, Ukraine remains enthusiastic about joining NATO and the European Union.
