Stuart Seldowitz, a former national security adviser to Barack Obama, has been fired from a lobbying firm after a video showed him verbally abusing a Muslim food cart vendor in New York City.
The video captured Seldowitz making racist and offensive remarks, leading to his termination from Gotham Government Relations.
Additional footage suggested a pattern of bullying behavior.
After the videos were released on social media, Gotham Government Relations, the firm where Seldowitz worked, dropped all affiliation with him, calling the video “vile, racist, and beneath the dignity of the standards we practice at our firm.” pic.twitter.com/iUL2C1gNiu

The firm denounced his actions as “vile” and “racist,” and the New York police are monitoring the situation.
“Gotham Government Relations has ended all affiliation with Stuart Seldowitz, an individual who hasn’t contributed to our work in years,” it read.
“The video of his actions is vile, racist, and beneath the dignity of the standards we practice at our firm.”
Seldowitz has not issued a statement, and public backlash against him has been significant.
