Convenience store and gas station chain Sheetz has lowered the price of Unleaded 88 gas to $1.99 per gallon until November 27, marking the lowest average Monday gas prices since January.
The national average gas price for unleaded gas is currently $3.274 per gallon, with falling prices making this Thanksgiving season the cheapest for gas since 2020.
Customers can save over $1 per gallon with this price drop, part of Sheetz’s “Happy ‘Tanks-giving'” campaign.

The discounted fuel is available at Sheetz locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia, and can be checked using the Sheetz mobile app.
Unleaded 88 contains 15 percent ethanol and 85 percent gasoline, with a higher octane rating than E10, approved for use in car, truck, and SUV models 2001 and newer by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
“This is pretty significant at a time of the year when a lot of Americans become more attuned to prices ahead of the holidays,” GasBuddy’s Patrick De Haan said.
This promotional pricing by Sheetz was last seen under the administration of former President Donald Trump when the national average gas price was under $2 in June 2020.
