Former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, a vocal critic of her own party, has drawn criticism for her comments on the January 6 video release.
Cheney made a snide remark about the video footage, prompting backlash from Utah Sen. Mike Lee, who accused her of lacking transparency.
“Here’s some January 6th video for you,” Cheney posted on X.

“Liz, we’ve seen footage like that a million times,” Lee responded.
“You made sure we saw that — and nothing else. It’s the other stuff — what you deliberately hid from us — that we find so upsetting. Nice try.”
“P.S. How many of these guys are feds? (As if you’d ever tell us).”

“Hey @BasedMikeLee – heads up,” Cheney shot back, “A nutball conspiracy theorist appears to be posting from your account.”
Despite Cheney’s response, Lee pressed further, highlighting the need for answers regarding the presence of paid informants at the Capitol on January 6.
“Shouldn’t the J6 committee have been demanding answers to this question?” Lee answered, referring to an ex-official who said the “FBI lost count of how many paid informants” were present for the event.
