A recent Quinnipiac poll has revealed a significant age gap in Democratic attitudes towards President Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Only 24% of Democrats under 35 approve of Biden’s performance, contrasting sharply with the 77% approval rate among those 65 and over.
Younger Democrats also lean heavily towards Palestinians, with only 16% expressing more sympathy for Israelis, compared to 45% of older Democrats.
Additionally, a mere 40% of younger Democrats believe it’s in the U.S. national interest to continue supporting Israel, in contrast to 87% of older Democrats.
This divide suggests a potential shift in Democratic foreign policy priorities.
The poll also indicated a significant portion of respondents expressing reservations about Biden’s candidacy in 2024, with a strong base of Republican support for Trump.
These sentiments, coupled with concerns about inflation and immigration, could play a pivotal role in the 2024 election.
