A South Carolina sheriff’s deputy, Cpl. Lucas Watts, miraculously survived a gunshot wound to the head during a traffic stop.
Despite a dire prognosis, his recovery was attributed to “intervening prayer” and described as a miracle by Sheriff Mike Crenshaw.
The deputy’s survival, despite the remote location and challenges in getting medical help, was deemed remarkable. (Trending: Donald Trump Gets Great News Ahead of 2024)
“I’m not talking about a grazing wound to the head, I’m talking about a bullet to his brain,” Crenshaw told reporters.
“They carry the wife in,” said Crenshaw.
“She touches him and he starts moving,” claim the local sheriff.
“A tear rolls down his face,” he continued.
“The doctor says ‘Let’s go, get him into surgery, right now, immediately get him into surgery. Go Go Go,’” recalled Crenshaw.
“God performed a miracle Thursday night in Greenville, South Carolina,” exclaimed Crenshaw.
“I don’t know why. I don’t know why we are in this,” he added.
“But folks I am here to tell you from the time he got shot to the time his wife touched him had to be 2.5 to 3 hours. I saw a dead man come back to life,” assured the sheriff.
Adding, “Not because of Mike Crenshaw. Because of God and because of intervening prayer I truly believe.”
Sheriff Crenshaw doubled down for the congregation, and repeated “I don’t know what tomorrow holds but I’m telling you God performed a miracle Thursday night in Greenville, South Carolina,”
“I’ve got no doubt in my mind. He made that clear to me,” assured the officer.
Crenshaw recounted the events at a church, emphasizing the role of prayer and divine intervention in Watts’ recovery.
The deputy is still in critical condition, and prayers for his continued recovery are requested.
The suspect, Gregory Maxwell, faces five counts of attempted murder.
