President Biden’s approval rating has hit a low point at 40 percent, according to an NBC poll.
This marks the first time the President is trailing Donald Trump in a hypothetical rematch.
Biden’s support among younger voters has significantly dropped, with 70 percent of voters aged 18 to 34 disapproving of his handling of the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
In a turn of events since 2020, 46 percent of voters in this age group now favor Trump for the 2024 election, compared to 42 percent for Biden.
“Joe Biden is at a uniquely low point in his presidency, and a significant part of this, especially within the Biden coalition, is due to how Americans are viewing his foreign policy actions,” said Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt.
Other polls also indicate a shift in support among younger voters, with Trump and Biden effectively tied among voters under 30, with confidence in Trump over Biden by a significant margin in terms of the economy.
