During a “Friendsgiving dinner” with service members, President Joe Biden complimented a 6-year-old girl on her ears, also engaging with other children at the event.
This interaction took place as part of the White House’s Joining Forces Initiative, where Biden thanked attendees for their service and highlighted his son’s military service.
“And I love your ears, I love them, they’re really cool,” said Biden to the 6 year old.

“What’s your name?” asked Biden.
“Catherine.” answered the girl, shyly.
“What a beautiful name!” exclaimed Biden.
“That’s my mommy’s name…how old are you? Seventeen?” continued the President.
At this point, a 4-year-old boy chimed in with the correct answer and Biden asked the boy for his age.
“Four? You’re a pretty big guy,” said Biden.
“Well, I’ll tell you what, be nice to your sister,” cautioned the President.
Adding, “You’re going to need her someday, at least I did.
The president’s interactions with children have previously garnered mixed reactions, including an incident in July where he was recorded nibbling on a little girl’s shoulder.
