California Governor Gavin Newsom has allocated funding to mosques and Islamic advocacy groups, despite allegations of anti-Semitic preaching and ties to Hamas.

The funding, intended for security enhancements, has been directed to mosques criticized for their leaders’ anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiments.

“Shame on you if you label them terrorists,” one preacher said of the Palestinian fighters. (Trending: Jury Reaches Verdict In Paul Pelosi Hammer Case)

“If you’re going to make a claim that Muslims killed innocent civilians, you better be able to prove it.”

“We cannot accuse somebody who is fighting for his life to be a terrorist.”

“The terrorist is the one who started the occupation, not the one who is defending himself,” he preached.

This decision has sparked controversy, particularly in light of California’s significant budget shortfall.
