A Jack Russell terrier named Finney miraculously survived for over 10 weeks in the Colorado mountains after her owner died during a trek.
The dog was found with her owner’s body and had lost half her body weight, but is now on the road to recovery, having regained her strength and weight.
Finney has become a local celebrity and a source of comfort for her owner’s wife, Dana Holby, who believes the dog stayed with her husband until the end. (Trending: Judge Issue Major Ruling On Transgender Procedures For Kids)

“Finney is doing well,” Holby said.
“She has gained almost all of her weight back and her strength is almost where it was.”
“She is the miracle dog.”
“I know that she was with Rich to the very end and somehow that should be a comfort.”
“I don’t know how she did it, but she was there when he needed her.”
This story follows another recent incident where a dog remained by its deceased owner’s side for two weeks in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park.
