The United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit overturned an injunction against Illinois’ “assault weapons” ban, ruling that AR-15s are not protected by the Second Amendment.

The decision was made by a three-judge panel, with two judges finding similarities between AR-15s and M16s, and one judge dissenting, arguing that the ban lacks historical precedent.

In the case Bevis v. City of Naperville, Judge Michael P. Brennan said, “Because the banned firearms and magazines warrant constitutional protection, and the government parties have failed to meet their burden to show that their bans are part of the history and tradition of firearms regulation, preliminary injunctions are justified against enforcement of the challenged laws.”

Following the Hamas terror attacks in Israel, gun license applications and firearm sales have surged.

Videos on social media showing terrorists targeting unarmed Israelis in their homes have heightened the demand for firearms.

Israeli leaders expedited the gun license process, leading to a run on guns in areas like Samaria.

“A lot more people are coming – everyone wants a gun now. They’re shaken and they don’t feel secure. There’s a completely different feeling now; they want guns to protect themselves.” said Yael Gat, director of Caliber 3–a firearm sales and training facility in Israel.

Adding, “Normally we have three training sessions per week for new licenses, but right now, since 7 October, we are doing two per day.”

A mother who lives in the Gush Etzion settlement explained that, “I’m a single mother and I have two kids. I don’t really want to have a gun, but I want to have the option to protect my little girls.”

The rush for guns and licenses continues, with growing numbers of Israelis citing a sense of unease and a desire to take matters of defense into their own hands.

Firearm sales and training facilities are experiencing increased demand, with more people seeking guns for self-protection.

Palestinian Hamas terrorists killed over 1,500 innocent civilians, including 33 Americans. Potentially hundreds of people were taken hostages.

IDF Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht said the Hamas music festival massacre “is the largest number of Jews killed in one day since the Holocaust.”

Israel has targeted known Hamas locations with its airstrikes and missiles.

In Gaza, the death toll climbed to 8,000 Palestinians as Israel launches a counterattack to destroy Hamas.

Hamas notoriously use their own people as human shields, including women and children. The terror group also kills Palestinians who attempt to flee.

This makes it incredibly difficult for Israel to defend itself while avoiding innocent casualties.

Israel has repeatedly warned innocent civilians, as well as women and children, to evacuate the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military is preparing tens of thousands of soldiers to capture Gaza City and destroy Hamas’ current leadership.

Three senior Israeli military officers outlined the unclassified details about the counterattack. IDF says its main goal is to destroy the top political and military hierarchy of Hamas.

The assault is expected to be Israel’s “biggest ground operation since it invaded Lebanon in 2006.”

This also the first time that Israel has attempted to capture land and at least briefly hold onto it since its invasion of Gaza in 2008.
