Actress Scarlett Johansson is taking legal action against an AI app called Lisa AI: 90s Yearbook & Avatar for using her likeness without permission in an advertisement.

The app generated an AI version of Johansson’s voice and image, which appeared in a 22-second ad promoting the app.

Johansson’s lawyer stated that they will pursue legal remedies to address the issue.

“We do not take these things lightly,” Johansson’s lawyer, Kevin Yorn, stated. “Per our usual course of action in these circumstances, we will deal with it with all legal remedies that we will have.”

This incident follows a similar case involving Tom Hanks, who warned fans about an AI-generated video commercial falsely portraying him selling dental insurance.
