CNN performed poorly in October compared to other major cable news networks, with Fox News leading the ratings.
However, CNN and MSNBC saw an increase in viewership compared to the previous year, attributed to coverage of the Israel-Gaza conflict and the House Speaker upheaval.
“Fox News again topped all the cable news networks in October, but only CNN and MSNBC gained viewers versus last year, as Israel-Gaza coverage and the House Speaker upheaval dominated the news cycle,” Deadline wrote.

Fox News’ “The Five” was the top-rated cable news program, followed by shows hosted by Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Rachel Maddow.
CNN’s viewership has continually remained in decline, hitting an all-time low in September. The network recently appointed Mark Thompson as its new chairman.
“The latest reporting from inside CNN, the basement-rated fake news outlet that will almost certainly be sold for parts within the next few years, suggests that the outlet’s leadership is not pleased with Kaitlan Collins, nor with the ratings of ‘The Source,’” Breitbart News’ John Nolte wrote.
