16 happened in Iraq and 11 took place in Syria. They included a mix of one-way attack drones and rockets.
Iranian forces are believed to be behind the attacks, and senior U.S. officials have discouraged Iran’s involvement and vowed retaliation if U.S. forces are intentionally targeted.
The U.S. has deployed additional troops and forces in the Mediterranean Sea in response.
