On the National Day of Prayer, Republicans expressed gratitude to God and sought His guidance for the country.

The RNC thanked God for America’s blessings, freedom and prosperity, and prayed for those serving in the military and law enforcement.

“On this National Day of Prayer, Americans join to thank God for the blessings, freedom, and prosperity He has bestowed upon our great country,” the Republican National Committee (RNC) stated.

“Today, we ask God for His guidance, peace, and wisdom,” the RNC added.

Senators and governors from Republican-led states also recognized the day on social media.

They reminded Americans of the importance of prayer, quoted scripture, and said they were praying for strength, wisdom and blessings for their states and citizens.

“There’s no doubt prayer is powerful. No matter what you are going through, remember you can always go to the Lord in prayer,” Sen. Rick Scott said.

“On National Day of Prayer, @CaseyDeSantis and I join all of our fellow Floridians in praying for our state and nation,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said.

“We are fortunate for the numerous blessings that have already been bestowed upon us in Florida, and pray that God continues to bless and protect us. God bless Florida, and God bless the U.S.A.,” he added.

The Republicans viewed the National Day of Prayer as an opportunity to express faith and ask God for continued protection and guidance of the United States.
