Former Chicago Mayor Hired to Probe ‘Worst Mayor in America’ at $400 per Hour

via CBS Chicago

The Village of Dolton, Illinois voted to hire former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot as a special investigator to look into allegations of financial mismanagement and other potential violations by Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard.

Lightfoot will be paid $400 per hour to gather information and present a report on her findings to the village board.

Henyard has been accused of issues like misusing police and taxpayer money.

The off-site meeting was held to accommodate public attendance and allow the board to re-vote on matters previously vetoed by Henyard, including paying outstanding village invoices.

Lightfoot’s investigation aims to provide more accountability over concerns about Henyard’s handling of local governance and finances.
