Beaches often have unique laws to regulate activities.

Some prohibit digging holes deeper than two feet or taking sand from beaches in places like Horry County, South Carolina.

Other unusual laws include banning those under 17 from playing pinball in South Carolina, and preventing swimming suit clad singing in Florida.

Selling oranges on sidewalks can result in jail time around Miami Beach per another odd law.

Common beach activities like Frisbee throwing are also barred at certain beaches, such as in Ocean City, Maryland and Bethany Beach, Delaware.

Beaches often establish specific rules beyond typical bans on littering, glass, and unleashed pets in order to manage appropriate conduct in their settings.
