A new Harvard-Harris poll found continued strong support among American voters for Israel over Hamas in their ongoing Gaza conflict, at 79%.
This is virtually unchanged from 82% support in February. Additionally, in March 63% only backed a ceasefire if it included the release of all Israeli hostages and removal of Hamas from power.
In February that view was held by 67%. The Biden administration allowed a UN resolution calling for ceasefire without these conditions.
In February, 63% also supported an Israeli ground invasion of southern Gaza to fully root out Hamas, a position the Biden administration did not back due to civilian presence.
The polling suggests the majority of American voters oppose the Biden administration’s policies regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict.
