The released transcript of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interview with President Biden confirmed Biden’s frequent memory lapses and contradicted Biden’s claims about his exchange with Hur regarding his son Beau’s death.
In the interview, Hur characterized Biden as an “elderly man with poor memory” and noted Biden struggled to recall details about when Beau died, which Biden strongly rebuked Hur for in a subsequent press conference.
“How in the hell dare he raise that,” Biden said.
“Frankly, when I was asked the question I thought to myself it wasn’t any of their [expletive] business.”
However, the transcript revealed it was actually Biden who first mentioned Beau’s death, not Hur, contradicting Biden’s criticism of the special counsel.
The transcript provides further evidence of Biden’s memory issues discussed in Hur’s report concluding Biden mishandled classified documents but not in a criminal manner.
