An American Airlines flight returned to Raleigh-Durham International Airport due to a possible mechanical issue with a cargo door.
The issue is being checked, and passengers were transferred to another aircraft.
American Airlines recently purchased 260 planes to enhance its network and operational reliability.
The orders “will continue to fuel our fleet with newer, more efficient aircraft so we can continue to deliver the best network and record-setting operational reliability for our customers,” American Airlines CEO Robert Isom said.
