MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough suggested Donald Trump does not realize it is no longer 2016, after Trump criticized Jimmy Kimmel’s hosting of the Oscars on Truth Social.

“Has there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars,” Trump wrote.

“His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be,” he wrote.

Kimmel fired back at Trump live on air by joking “isn’t it past your jail time?”, which got a big laugh.

Scarborough said Trump keeps “walking into traps” and does not understand the things that may have worked in 2016 are no longer disruptive.

He likened Trump to an old fighter past his prime, saying Trump was the butt of jokes for millions after criticizing Kimmel and prompting the comeback response.

“That’s the thing, I guess he doesn’t understand. He just keeps walking into traps,” Scarborough said.

“It’s like an old fighter that’s past his prime,” he added. “The things that may have worked, that may have been disruptive six, seven ― you know, 2016 ― everybody knows what’s coming.”

Trump was “the butt of the joke for millions and millions of people last night,” he added.
