Former French presidential candidate Éric Zemmour advocated for a policy of “remigration” to deport millions of unwanted migrants from France.
He pointed to Barack Obama as a model, noting Obama deported over 2 million immigrants as US President.
“None of this is indecent or impractical. During his mandate, Obama, Democratic President and Nobel Peace Prize winner deported more than two million foreigners!” Zemmour said.
La Remigration, c’est le renvoi des immigrés indésirables : les clandestins, les chômeurs de longue durée, les délinquants et les criminels, les fichés S.

Zemmour defined remigration as removing illegal immigrants, long-term unemployed foreigners, criminals, and those under surveillance for extremism.
A Soros-funded report in Germany had claimed the AfD party wanted to deport people with “migration backgrounds,” but the AfD denied this and said it only wanted to incentivize voluntary returns.
The claims sparked outrage and a rift between the AfD and France’s National Rally party.
Zemmour, whose party is further right than National Rally, criticized Marine Le Pen for being afraid to use certain language and for believing Islam is compatible with the French Republic.
