Federal agents raided two properties owned by Winnie Greco, a top advisor to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, as part of an ongoing investigation.
Greco was placed on leave. Separately, Manhattan prosecutors are investigating whether Adams’ campaign illegally accepted foreign donations from Turkey through straw donors.
In November, FBI raids targeted homes of two other Adams aides. Adams’ devices were also seized that month.
Thursday’s raid at Greco’s homes was overseen by Brooklyn prosecutors in a separate inquiry from the Manhattan one.
Neighbors said agents searched for several hours.
Greco previously faced a city probe over allegations she used her role to obtain personal benefits.
Adams has deflected questions and said his administration follows the law, cooperating with any reviews while not commenting on ongoing matters.
“Our administration will always follow the law, and we always expect all our employees to adhere to the strictest ethical guidelines,” a spokesperson for the mayor stated. “As we have repeatedly said, we don’t comment on matters that are under review, but will fully cooperate with any review underway.”
