A new analysis found that most large employers did not significantly change their abortion coverage after the Supreme Court ruling allowing states to ban abortion.

Around 12% of large firms expanded coverage, while 3% reduced it. Only about a third of large firms cover abortion in most circumstances, while 28% do not cover it or only in limited cases.

Coverage prevalence depends on location, with Northeast and West firms more likely to provide it than Southern and Midwestern ones.

While some high-profile companies offer financial help for travel to legal states, only 7% of large employers overall plan to do so.

As employer-sponsored insurance covers most non-elderly Americans, limited changes to abortion coverage leave many without support accessing the procedure.
