The National Border Patrol Council issued a warning to President Biden ahead of his visit to the southern border, telling him to “keep our name out of your mouth.”

While the union had backed a bipartisan Senate border bill that Biden supports, it has otherwise strongly criticized his border policies.

Biden plans to tour the border area and urge passage of the stalled bill.

A White House official said, “During his trip, the President will receive a briefing on border security operations and an operational briefing from CBP, ICE, and USCIS. Afterwards, the President will deliver remarks to emphasize the need for Congressional Republicans to stop putting politics ahead of our border security and pass the bipartisan border security agreement.”

He will emphasize the need for congressional Republicans to stop putting politics over security and pass the funding and reforms.

However, conservatives rejected the bill, saying it would normalize high illegal immigration levels.

The union dismissed Biden’s trip as too little, too late and politically motivated.

It said border security should not be about politics but national safety.

National Border Patrol Council said, “Attention President Biden: Keep our name out of your mouth today.”

The union said, “too little, too late.”

The National Border Patrol Council said, “But even if he were to put the proper policies in place at this late hour, he’d be doing it only to try to save his Presidency. And self-serving actions when time is winding down should always give Americans pause. Common sense dictates that as a lame duck, he’d revert to his open border policies if re-elected.”

“Biden is going to the border now solely to try to save himself. Border security should never be about politics, it should always be about the safety and security of this great nation and the American people,” said the union.

Illegal immigration has become a top 2022 election issue, with most voters seeing it as a threat, though the White House blames the crisis on a broken system.
