U.S. Border Patrol released hundreds of undocumented immigrants onto the streets of San Diego due to lack of detention space, assigning some court dates thousands of miles away in places they had never heard of.

Those released came from around the world and local non-profits were overwhelmed.

Video showed Chinese nationals being released. One man from Kazakhstan was told to appear in Philadelphia in 2025 though he’d never heard of it.

Others were confused about their location.

This follows the arrest of a Venezuelan man for murdering a college student in Georgia, after he had crossed illegally in Texas and was previously released due to lack of space.

“More Chinese nationals amongst the latest busload of migrants that was just released to the street in San Diego moments ago. We’ve seen dozens of Chinese released here today. More than 21,000 Chinese have been apprehended by Border Patrol in just San Diego sector since Oct. 1st,” Bill Melugin said.

CBP said it showed the need for Congress to provide resources and fix immigration laws as millions have crossed under Biden.
