Two senior White House communications officials are departing for private sector jobs.
Olivia Dalton, the principal deputy White House press secretary, has told staff she plans to leave in mid-March for a senior role on Apple’s communications team.
Dalton has worked for Biden since 2006 in various press and communications roles over his Senate career and time as vice president.
She has been deputy press secretary since August 2022.
Joelle Gamble, a top economic adviser who helped craft Biden’s economic policies, is also leaving the White House.
The departures indicate two experienced Biden aides are exiting for opportunities in the private sector.
