A Harvard CAPS poll found substantial public support for the Republican-led impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
Three in five overall voters backed impeachment, including nearly half of Democrats, over half of independents, and four in five Republicans.
A majority of respondents also felt Mayorkas and DHS were not adequately enforcing border security and immigration laws.
Mayorkas has openly supported more migration due to his background and sympathies.
He was impeached by the House on February 13 for allegedly not enforcing laws and securing the border.
However, House Speaker Mike Johnson has not yet transmitted the formal charges to the Senate, waiting for budget issues to be resolved first.
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell has not signaled support for a Senate impeachment trial.
