According to an analysis by an investigator working for former President Trump’s legal team, special prosecutor Nathan Wade visited Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ condo at least 35 times prior to when they claim their romantic relationship began in early 2022.
This raises questions about testimony Willis and Wade gave regarding the timeline of their relationship.
“So, if phone records were to reflect that you were making phone calls from the same location as the condo before Nov. 1 of 2021, and it was on multiple occasions, the phone records would be wrong?” Trump attorney Steve Sadow questioned Wade.
“If phone records reflected that, yes, sir. They’d be wrong,” Wade said.
Trump’s team is attempting to get his election interference indictment dismissed by disqualifying the DA’s office over Wade and Willis’ romantic ties.
New evidence from cell phone records presented by Trump’s investigator claims Wade was at Willis’ condo late at night on multiple occasions in 2021 before he began working on the case, contradicting their sworn testimony that the relationship began in 2022.
“This conservative analysis using the above referenced modality revealed a minimum of 35 occasions when Mr. Wade’s phone connected for an extended period to either one of those towers in closest proximity to the Dogwood address based upon associated data use, voice calls or text messages. The data reveals he is stationary and not in transit,” investigator Charles Mittelstadt wrote.
If the judge determines they lied, it could constitute perjury and affect their roles in the high-profile prosecution.
