Sam Bankman-Fried made a brief court appearance in New York to change lawyers before his March sentencing.

He is facing prison time after being convicted in November of wire fraud and conspiracy related to the $10 billion collapse of his FTX cryptocurrency exchange.

In court, the noticeably thinner Bankman-Fried acknowledged being on antidepressants and medication to focus his attention.

He said he understood potential conflicts with his new lawyer Marc Mukasey’s representation of another client related to the case but wanted to proceed anyway.

Bankman-Fried will be sentenced by the same judge who oversaw his trial.

Mukasey will file pre-sentencing arguments next week.
