Four Venezuelan migrants were arrested for allegedly robbing and beating a man on a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) train.

Police identified the men aged 18-22 and charged them with robbery and aggravated battery for the attack, which left the 49-year-old victim unconscious.

They were located by police less than 45 minutes later. The men listed their address as a city-run migrant shelter.

Immigration experts indicated that three could face deportation if convicted of felony charges.

Chicago has received 35,000 migrants from the southern border since August, with 13,000 housed in shelters costing taxpayers, as the governor and others request additional state funds to address the situation.
